Before you enrol

How long
60 minutes in each room; arrive 15 minutes early and allow about 90 minutes in all.
Who can enrol
Recommended for ages 9 and up. Seven- and eight-year-olds can play as paying members of a family group; anyone nine or under needs a parent or guardian playing alongside them. Students aged 10 to 13 need an adult at the venue; a class of 14-year-olds and up can go alone.
How hard
All three rooms are rated 6 out of 10: a comfortable first escape room that still keeps regular players thinking. Gamesmasters send clues whenever the class asks.
Which first
Any order. Each room is its own game with its own set and puzzles; Escape This presents Magic School as the sequel to The Wizard’s Chamber, so castle graduates will find familiar ground.
What to expect
No crawling, tight spaces or smoke. Controlled lighting with some darkness and flashes, mild spooky touches such as glowing skulls, and story and hints in English with some reading.
Access
Magic University and The Wizard’s Chamber take one wheelchair per session (some chambers may be out of reach depending on the chair). Magic School is not wheelchair accessible.
What to wear
Robes, cloaks, pointed hats, round spectacles and a wand tucked in your sleeve all belong. Closed shoes, please.
